the ability to share thoughts and feelings in a most respectful and honest way.

The whole story of Noah bothered me from a young age, it just never made any sense. Why leave anyone, God had to know that the whole thing was just going to start all over again once the population explosion got going again. And the whole thing with animal sacrifices, that never set will with me either, just seemed so, so, pagan. I can see why some just would like to jettison the old testament.

Going out with a bang
by LittleToe inafter much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.
it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

i am not a fan of rap, but it occured to me that a rap song would be an ideal vehicle for it.
with all the funny, creative, talented, bright, etc.

Are some people REALLY better off in high-control groups?
by seattleniceguy inin holly's good-bye thread, quotes mentioned that he felt that some people were better off in high-control groups.
i've heard othes say similar things.. but i have a difficult time with this.
is it not true that high-control groups stiffle a person's emotional and intellectual development?

I was thinking of alot guys that I knew that were pretty much losers that joined the military service. It seemed that after their tour of duty was over they had gotten themselves together, learned how to focus, pick a direction in their lives, etc. So in that limited sense yeah, maybe a high control group can do some good, but in a very limited sense.
